MY OWN MAN!
I don't really know what that's supposed to mean. I can only guess at what that's supposed to mean. I THINK, it means that, one being a MAN, I don't know if that term could apply to WOMEN it probably can in concept anyhow, is their own person. By this I mean that nobody else is responsible for that person's successes or failures. I was just beginning to feel like I had finally become "my own man." Then the boating accident which took my life happened. My life as I knew, and loved it, any ways. You see, I recognized that many others were responsible for me being able to accomplish many of the stuff I was able to accomplish. For instance, I doubt if I could have gotten through all the years of college that I did, if it hadn't been for my parent's financial backing. And the CAST IRON HAND RAIL, I put up in my front yard, was welded by me but I was shown how to do it, AND helped a great deal, by MARK SCHMECK, one of the M & M'S remember him from one of my previous stories. Those are just some of the examples, that I can think of off hand, of how I'VE ALWAYS needed or utilized others to accomplish the things I'VE done. Now, I know I have accomplished some pretty incredible stuff in life. However, at the time of my life changing accident, I was just beginning to feel like I could do things by myself. I was finally beginning to earn enough money to do the kinds of things I liked to do. Things like buy old clunker cars, fix them up, and sell them, go MOUNTAIN BIKE riding, stuff like that. And then this stupid TBI had to happen. Now, I'VE got all the resources to do all the things I'VE always wanted to do, and I can't do these things. Well, I can do SOME of these things. However, now I have to have A LOT of assistance in order to do the littlest things. So, AGAIN, I'M recognizing all the other people who are helping me a great deal. For instance, my father is helping me a lot. He's the one who helps me put these stories on the INTERNET. It's all my own writing. However, I wouldn't even be writing this in the first place, if it wasn't for him. I like to LIKEN him to my FATHER IN HEAVEN. So, I can boast that I have THREE fathers now. My two earthly fathers, including my father in law, my BIO DAD, and my HEAVENLY FATHER. Well nuff for this morning G'nite to those on the other side of the earth!
