PRODIGAL!

What does PRODIGAL MEAN? I think, and hope all know of the parable, in the new testament , of the holy bible, about the PRODIGAL SON. Well, I’M telling you I know what this parable says to me, but, I don’t know what the word PRODIGAL actually means. I should know what it means, because I probably am one, a prodigal son, any ways. Now, I’M gonna to try to write here what the PARABLE means to me. This kid who not unlike myself , was basically a good kid all along, and he ended up working for his father, unlike myself , until one day he decided he’d go check out the world around him. He went out into the world and found his fame & fortune, for a while until he started to fall on bad times, failing at everything he tried to do. He got so down, that he was thinking about taking his own life. Until one day, when he was panhandling , for his daily bread, somebody, probably a JESUS FREAK gave him a TRACT that reminded him that if he was ever down on his luck, if he just asked his FATHER, THE LORD for forgiveness, he could return home to his lifestyle he HAD become used to and his family and earthly parents would forgive him his transgressions, and take him back in. Even though he had burned all his bridges. And lo &behold it was true, he did tell his earthly father he was sorry for all that he’d done that was wrong, started rebuilding the bridges he’d burnt, in other words repented his sins he had performed against his family. And sure enough, he was given back his place in the family! Now, I don’t know how, or what, I have to do with this story, but, I think I’M beginning to understand the meaning of the word PRODIGAL just from writing about this, I’M thinking it means wayward in a way. And that’s all I’VE got to say about that!
