THE UNDERDOG
Everyone always roots for the underdog! After today's sermon, I realize why everyone always does. That's because the underdog always wins. And if you know who's gonna win, wouldn't you rather have rooted for the winner. I know, I would have. And the way we know that the underdog is always gonna win, is because it's just the way of life. GOD'S pointed this out to us many times. Besides, of course HE'S told us this in HIS WORD or in the BIBLE many places. Just look at the life of JESUS. Now, if there ever was a person, who was an underdog, it was JESUS. But, not only was JESUS an underdog, but, many of HIS followers were also. Think about this, isn't it always better if the underdog wins. We've been told this many times. For instance, as JESUS said at the SERMON ON THE MOUNT, "the meek shall inherit the earth," either that was said to make those who are thinking they aren't anything but meek, feel better about themselves or it was the way it is. I think it's the way it is especially since GOD says so.
You know, how most of us always have at least one good friend who is always a do gooder, a meek kind of person, and they always seem to be successful at whatever they do. Well I believe, there's a reason for this. That's because, GOD'S always trying to point out to us the truth that HE tried to tell us that the meek SHALL inherit the earth. Or at least reap GOD'S benefits. Hence, their success at whatever they try to do. I like to consider myself meek, probably only for selfish reasons though, so that I'LL inherit the earth someday. However, I know that because GOD'S grace is sufficient, I won't have to try to be meek, I'LL inherit the earth anyhow. I'M one of GOD'S children and technically, since the earth is HIS, it’s mine also.
